Vision: Outreach OBX
"Faith comes by hearing" (Romans 10:17). At Outreach OBX, we believe in empowerment the kind that starts on the inside. It's the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ, alive in us through the Holy Spirit, that makes us witnesses in a world that's changing faster than ever. Challenges keep coming, and we believe there's no greater witness than meeting people's needs right where they are.
Faith in action is our starting point. Sometimes that looks like a meal, a bag of groceries, or school supplies for a child because often, meeting a practical need is the door to someone's heart. Scripture tells us it's God's love that leads people to repentance (Romans 2:4), not condemnation. So our mission is simple: love on people the best way we can, using every tool and means available to us, to grow the Kingdom and point every life we touch toward eternity.
We're not here to hand out charity from a distance. We're here to build real relationships with the people and organizations already doing this work on the Outer Banks, and to put resources — funded by our community's everyday coffee habit — directly into their hands.
